Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon is a COUP sponsored event that benefits the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation. It would be great for WIS to sponsor some participants for this, to represent WIS on campus.

Arthritis Foundation Walk
Date: May 1st, 2004;
Time: 10:00 AM
Place: Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago
(Adjacent to the main East entrance of the zoo) 5k walk, (or optional 1 mile fun walk)

We can either form a team for the walk, or volunteer to help with event day registration, course monitors, greeters, pre-registration, etc. Please make a note of whether you'd like to volunteer or participate in the walk.

Y-ME National Race Against Breast Cancer

We should raise a minimum of $100 per person for this event, and it would be really great to form a team for the walk. We could do fundraisers like selling donuts or something to help raise the money maybe.

UCSC Day of Service

The UCSC organizes days of service every quarter, and groups send people to volunteer at different locations in Chicago. It's usually a lot of fun, and would be a good way for WIS members to get to know each other while helping the community.
